Hey beautiful people of the world!! I hope you are feeling great and energised for a fantastic week ahead! From now on I will be writing specific topics on each day within the week, if you want to know more about it click here to read my post I wrote.
Since Covid-19 has occurred I think we can all relate to how it’s flipped our world upside down on what to do with our lives – or maybe it is just me. Personally I had an epiphany on how delicate life can be and is it really worth wasting it away being unhappy in a dead end job. If I could go back in time I would of dedicated more time into keeping my promises to myself. What I mean by that is, we are more happy to please others and not ourselves, but I think that’s come down to being seen as a ‘selfish’ act. But in fact, I feel when you’re at your best you can help provide happiness to other’s.
I have written three self promises to myself for this month:
- Be consistent with writing on my blog as I have always given up on myself.
- Every Sunday I will pamper and take care of my body.
- Be more confident with the potential of what I can achieve.
They are simple promises but are effectively powerful as I believe if we are more than happy to keep someone else’s promises, whatever it may be, then why can’t I keep my own beneficial promises to myself. I am only letting myself down and not reaching my goals.
What’s really helped me so far has been writing down a mini plan week to week of how to keep on top of keeping my self promises. Even writing it in your journal or calendar as if it’s an appointment, so you never forget or push it aside for something else. Life is short and people will come in and out of your life – you are the only one that will continuously be with YOU! Put yourself first and NEVER feel guilty for doing so.
I hope this post has helped motivate you for this week of self-love ahead and many more after that.
